We spoke with Candler Phillips, Showroom Display Manager at Hudson Valley Lighting Group, who shared insights into the company’s operations and market approach. The company serves both B2B and B2C markets, partnering with showrooms and designers while maintaining a strong digital presence on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and Meta. These channels play a pivotal role in showcasing their products and connecting with their audience.

What sets Hudson Valley Lighting Group apart is its meticulous attention to detail and its commitment to quality. Sourcing materials from locations such as India, the Philippines, and Vietnam, the team ensures their designs stand out in a competitive market. The brand’s integrated LED innovations and quarterly launches—adding approximately 500 new products each season—highlight their dedication to staying ahead of industry trends.

In 2024, the group is gearing up for an exciting new launch in April with designer Mark D. Sikes, who has been collaborating with the company for nearly a decade. Crae Home, co-owned by Brittany Nelson, is making waves in the home goods market with its innovative and stylish microfiber towels. Specializing in hand towels, pool towels, and kitchen towels, Crae Home offers products that seamlessly blend functionality and aesthetics. Brittany shared how the company was born out of a need for towels that not only looked great but also worked exceptionally well—addressing a gap between attractive but ineffective towels and functional yet unappealing ones.

The Journey and Growth

Starting as a small, home-based business, Crae Home was launched by two entrepreneurial moms juggling family life and work. Over the past three years, they have expanded into the wholesale market, carefully scaling their operations to meet demand. Today, Crae Home maintains a strong online retail presence, particularly through Instagram, which has played a significant role in connecting with customers and growing their brand.

What Sets Crae Home Apart?

The towels are crafted with ultra-soft microfiber, designed to be more comfortable and effective than traditional microfiber products. Customers are often surprised by the unique texture, which challenges preconceived notions about microfiber. In addition to functionality, Crae Home prioritizes eye-catching patterns and designs, created entirely in-house to stay ahead of seasonal trends.

Looking Ahead

As Crae Home continues to grow, the team remains focused on adapting to new styles and trends, hiring additional in-house talent, and expanding their product range. With all design work done internally, co-owner Brittany Nelson and her business partner, Stephanie, ensure that every product reflects the company’s vision of combining practicality with aesthetic appeal.

At the forefront of home décor innovation is Daniella O’Kane, Senior Director of E-commerce at Uma Home Décor. With over 7,000 SKUs spanning accent tables, dining furniture, decorative sculptures, candle holders, and baskets, Uma Home Décor offers a comprehensive range of products across diverse themes—from glam and contemporary to farmhouse and French country. Their mission? To provide something for every customer.

Differentiating in a Competitive Market

Uma Home Décor’s unique selling point lies in its extensive product variety, catering to all themes, price points, and customer types. With a global network of manufacturing partners, they deliver everything from entry-level to luxurious collections, making them a go-to for wholesale accounts, designers, and independent stores.

Embracing E-commerce and Influencer Power

Uma’s robust e-commerce presence includes partnerships with major retailers like Wayfair, Amazon, Home Depot, Target, and Walmart. The company excels in dropshipping, creating exclusive, white-label collections for each partner. To expand their direct-to-consumer footprint, they are building Shopify and TikTok Shop platforms, leveraging the influence of social media creators.

Daniela highlighted the transformative impact of influencers: “One unboxing video can sell out a product overnight. It’s incredible to see the power of organic content creation.” To optimize this strategy, Uma Home Décor uses platforms like CreatorIQ to identify and track influencer collaborations, linking them to specific sales channels for measurable impact.

Data-Driven Strategies for Growth

Data and analytics play a pivotal role in Uma Home Décor’s operations. By analyzing daily and monthly sales trends, customer reviews, and channel-specific performance, the team makes informed decisions to refine their product offerings and meet market demands.

How To Spend In the Right Channel?

Marketing attribution tools like Fospha empower marketers to focus budgets where they deliver the best ROI. For furniture brands like Home Décor, platforms like TikTok and Pinterest are critical growth channels but notoriously hard to justify. If it can't be measured, it won't drive spend—that's where Fospha steps in. By integrating with your marketing stack, Fospha uses advanced multi-touch attribution to map customer journeys and assign precise ROI across every channel and touchpoint.

Expansion into Furniture

Looking ahead, the company is focused on expanding its furniture collection. Under the leadership of a newly appointed VP of Merchandising and a CEO deeply experienced in furniture trends, Uma Home Décor is set to launch Stein and Watson, a brand centered on furniture. This collection will include dining tables, accent cabinets, bathroom vanities, and more, catering to the growing demand for case goods.

Global Sourcing for Quality

Uma Home Décor sources its products from a diverse range of countries, including India, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Spain, and China. With a strong emphasis on sustainability, their recycled glass collection is a standout example of their commitment to innovation and quality.

As Uma Home Décor continues to grow, their dedication to providing exceptional products and embracing emerging trends ensures their place as a leader in the home décor industry.
